WE  ANXIOUSLY AWAIT THE MIDWEST BIG TEN SERIES
$10,000 POINT FUND FOR TEN RACES

Morgan County Speedway, Jacksonville, IL, has teamed up with Macon Speedway to bring you, the “Midwest Big Ten Series”. The two tracks will host a series of races to be held in the 2008 racing season, the dates of the five races to be held at Macon Speedway are this Saturday, April 19, May 3, June 14, July 19 and August 16. Morgan County Speedway will host their first of five races this Friday, April 18 with the other races being held on May 2, June 13, July 18 and July 24. Each of the ten races will include larger winnings to the winner of the feature. At the end of the season the points each driver has accumulated in those 10 races will be totaled and there will be $10,000 distributed throughout the top ten Late Models with the top point fund winner taking home another $3,000! 

We will be having a practice day open to all classes on Sunday April 20th.  Practice will begin at 1:00. Pit gates will open at 12:00.  $15.00 pit pass.  The grandstands will be open and free to the public.

Rain Spoils opening night once again. We hope to see everyone next week on April 18th when hopefully mother nature decides to play nice and lets us get the 2008 season under way.

Welcome to the Morgan County Speedway. Everyone at the Morgan County Speedway is looking forward to the season opener on Friday April 4, 2008.  We welcome the Non-Winged Sprint class, the New Mini-Late Models and we welcome back the UMP Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks and 4 Cylinder Pony Stock classes. We hope to see everyone come out and cheer on your favorite drivers.  Please be sure to check out the links for the schedule, point standings and rules.

Don't forget the Party Tower is available for rent for parties of 10-20 people.  It has indoor, air conditioned seating as well as an outdoor viewing deck. Contact Billy or Kim to check the availability and pricing.

Heading into our sophmore year we are looking forward to the return of the Sprint Invaders, MSCS Non-Winged Sprints,  Powri Midgets and Micros and the UMP Late Model Summer Nationals.

Construction starts as soon as the weather allows on the new fencing and wall at the racetrack. Let's hope for great weather and a great, safe racing season.
